1. Acceptance

By using this Service you agree to these Terms and to the documents they reference, including the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Compress Images is a free browser tool that compresses and converts JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF images on your own device. It reads the file you choose, converts it in your browser, and gives you the result to download. There is no account, no payment and no subscription, and the Service is provided as it is today: no backup of your work, no saved history, and no recovery of a file the tool did not convert. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

3. Authorized use

Use the Service only on images you own or are explicitly authorized to work on. You are responsible for your use of the Service and for having the rights to everything you put through it. The Acceptable Use Policy says what is not allowed, and it is part of these Terms.

4. Your file stays yours

The Service receives no copy of your file, so it cannot restore, publish or hand one to anyone. You keep every right you already had in the images you process, and you are responsible for complying with whoever else holds a right in them.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided on an as is basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. In particular, no warranty is given that a converted file is lossless, that it is fit for a particular purpose, that a lossy conversion will look acceptable to you, or that the Service will be available without interruption. Compare the before and after sizes and pictures the tool shows you before you rely on a result.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marlow Ridge Software is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Service, including a lost file, a lost opportunity, or damage caused by a converted image you relied on. Nothing in these Terms limits a liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may change as the Service changes. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and the version that applies is the one you read when you use the Service.

8. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the law of the place where Marlow Ridge Software is established, without taking away any protection your own country gives you as a consumer. Questions about them go to support@compress-images.online.
